Everyone visible in our catalog has passed a manual review. Qualifications are verified, not just claimed.
Online, anyone can claim to be an expert. Without a verification process, tutoring platforms become a marketplace of unverified self-descriptions — and students have no reliable way to tell who is genuinely qualified from who simply states they are.
On unverified platforms, quality varies enormously. You might find an exceptional tutor or waste several sessions discovering you haven't. EasyLang's verification step is designed to filter out that uncertainty before it costs students time and money.
Every tutor goes through the same steps before becoming visible to students:
Application
Tutors submit a profile application including their teaching background, subjects, experience level, and a personal introduction. This is not a form — it's a genuine introduction that students will read.
Manual review
The EasyLang team reviews every application individually. There is no automated approval. A real person reads the profile and assesses whether the tutor meets the platform's standards.
Qualification check
At least one of the following must be demonstrable: a recognized teaching certificate or relevant academic degree; documented professional teaching or coaching experience; or extensive practical experience in the subject with verifiable references.
Profile approval
Only after a successful review does the tutor's profile become visible in the catalog. Applicants who don't meet the standard are notified with feedback.
Ongoing quality monitoring
The internal rating system continuously tracks session quality. Tutors with consistently poor feedback patterns are reviewed again by the platform team.
Verification confirms qualifications and experience. It does not guarantee that every tutor will be the right fit for every student — that depends on learning style, subject depth, personal rapport, and goals. That's what the browsing and trial session process is for.
What if a tutor's quality drops after approval?
The internal rating system is the platform's early warning system. If feedback patterns suggest a sustained drop in quality, the team reaches out to understand the situation and provide support — or, where necessary, review the tutor's standing on the platform.
A verified platform is a better platform to teach on. When students trust that every tutor has been reviewed, they approach sessions with more confidence. That benefits you as a tutor — you're working with students who chose you deliberately, not randomly.
